A BLAST FROM THE PAST PART TWO!!!!!!! CAMP NE O TEZ

Taken from Inspiration Point 1972/73
I never become tired of pictures from Inspiration Point.!!!!!

Sometime in the 70's I spent a hot summer Saturday inside this bath house. I was simply the hod mixer and hod carrier. My friend Rich Dolan laid all the bricks for the stalls and showers.

Taken from Inspiration Point in 1973. In the right hand corner notice the fence that at one time was in place to protect us from the edge.

I do not say this negatively but my photos from the 70.s seem to show a prettier water area in and around Crystal Falls.

Early 70's before we had the canteen fixed like it is now.

Do you remember this bridge over Crystal Falls to protect our kids from falling into the water.
I wonder if anyone but the Lord knows how many baptisms have been done at camp?

This was not a regular camp week but a girl scout weekend. We are near the Big river. Our mystery guest is standing on our right next to the tree.
Who is today's mystery guest?
I hope you enjoy the old photos as much as I do.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST PART ONE

CAMP NE O TEZ and A SPECIAL QUESTION

How many remember the bus rides to the pool and Washington State park

Marlin,do you remember the $5.00 membership ?

*** When the membership was only $5-00 we probably only had an annual income around $10,000

Our steel building when it was a functioning commercial enterprise on the north side of Chippewa between Kingshighway and Morganford.I believe Neil Anderson got the building donated and Charlie White took the building down, delivered it to camp, and built it back.

Possibly our first caretakers talking to someone. Notice the style of the cars in driveway

Now far the big question. It is my blue 1972 Pinto,in my driveway and he had an important job at camp for several years.

Who is this 70's poster boy?

***My family did not have a car.
*** I rode streetcars.

Photo one reminded me of all the hair Paul had as he entered the world.

Yes that is Paul with all the catchers gear and I too was a catcher when I was ten.

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY DONOVAN!!!!!!!
Wow you are now a TEENAGER.
A little bit of trivial history that I discovered last night. I was thirteen in 1951 and that was sixty years ago.Really it seems like only about twenty five years ago so my advice to you is to enjoy each day and it won't be long and you will be blogging to your grandchildren.
Grandma and I hope you have a great day and we are looking forward to seeing you tonight.
We are so proud of you'

MIDWEEK LUNCH IN 1975
In late summer of 1975 a bank customer took me for lunch at the Lake of the Ozarks. We flew to the lake in his plane and actually lunch and flight took only a little over two hours. Not bad for a banker's lunch time.

I have been fortunate to maybe had six flights in a small plane but this was easily my best photography from a cock pit.
