SPRING TRAINING 2010 ABOUT TO START!!!!!

This is Roger Dean stadium, Jupiter Fl. where the Cardinals have trained since 1998. I am sitting close to home plate looking at the right field wall and the Cardinal offices and locker room are right behind the right field wall. This photo was taken in 1998 the opening year of Roger Dean stadium.

This is Al. Lang field St Petersburg Fl. The Cardinals trained here from the forties through 1997. What a beautiful way to watch a game with the inner coastal water lapping on the left field side.


This is the spring training home of the Baltimore Orioles in Fort Lauderdale Fl. Fort Lauderdale is about forty five minutes south of Jupiter.

The field on the left was the home of the Dodgers for over fifty years in Vero Beach Fl. Notice their are no dugouts. The players simply sit on benches behind a small fence. Like we played when we were growing up. The Dodgers have moved their spring facilities to Arizona.

The spring home of the New York Mets. in Port St. Lucie Fl. About thirty minutes north of Jupiter.

This year grandpa is giving each grandchild a book that he actually bought and read sometime around his tenth year.

Today you celebrate number nine but I still remember that first year.I was retired and took care of you one day a week.It was one of my most memorable years.
You have grown from that little baby girl into Grandpa's "Junior Princess".

My great old!!!! 35mm Cannon film camera has been missing for about ten months. With the dawn of a new year I have been cleaning,re-organizing, recycling, throwing away, and ridding our life of clutter.Presto the lost camera was found plus two undeveloped rolls of film.

We have been fortunate to have traveled on three continents,across two oceans, went through the Panama Canal, countless cruises, 47 states, but Alley Springs about 225 miles from home easily makes our top ten favorite places.

I realize digital photography is convient and easy but there is something to say about the quality of film.
