When you arrive at work you never know what to expect. Thursday found a huge stage being constructed for the U-2 concert to be held Sunday 7/17/2011.Notice that all grass has been removed as we will re-sod the field after the Sunday concert.

     LONG OVER DUE!!!!!!!!!!!!  JAMES IS FIRST IN LOCAL FISHING DERBY!!!!!
I am long over due with this post but with the big wedding I am behind in my postings. About five weeks ago James had the largest catch of the day for all ages in a local fishing derby at Suson park.
On the 4TH I was at his house and noticed that the trophy had a prominent place in the "Man Cave".

 AN INTERESTING DAY 6/26/2011!!!!!!!!
Today found us in Belleville as I was the play by play announcer for the ultimate Blind Beep Ball championship. My analyst was Renee Knott sports director of KSDK channel 5 in St Louis.Renee was one terrific person to work with as we seemed to seamlessly mesh without any rehearsal.

6/24/2011 A BIG DAY IN THE LIFE OF DONOVAN

     

Friday about 12:30 PM many in our family were at Camp Ne O Tez along with Jr. high campers to witness grandson Donovan be baptized into Christ. Our former youth minister Jimmy was asked by Donovan to do the honors of baptizing him in the cold waters of Crystal Falls at Camp Ne O Tez.

My mind thought backwards to Mrs..McCoy and how she must have been celebrating with the angels as her great-grandson became a Christian. Our entire family owes so much to her stead fast example. I wish I had known her parents and grand parents that started their Christian walk long before Nancy and I were thought about.

It was a beautifull setting with a beautifull bride and a handsome groom. It was a ceremony with many unique touches and each touch was the right one to add to their special day. I hope my pictures give you at least an inkling of how beatifull the outdoor setting and ceremony were. It may have been a tad hot!! but it was a great evening. I am still expiercening technical diffulties so I will have to post a second wedding blog.
