1964 pennant is in the hallway of the Cardinal locker room. 1964 began my lucky baseball spectator career as I saw games #6 and #7 of the world series between the Cardinals and Yankees.

In 1964 we had two little girls, Nancy was a stay at home mom, I made six hundred dollars a month and we lived in a nice Shrewsbury house with a modest bank loan.

Saturday while working on a special project at the Arch for the Cardinals I was within thirty feet of Cheryl Crowe as she rehearsed for Saturdays nights concert.

I am not a fan of Cheryl Crowe and her music but it was fun to be so close to a celebrity. It was interesting to notice a film clip of tonights show that she was still wearing jeans and tonight she had on a black top.

Nancy has this idea to take Kayleigh and Donovan to a different park every week. Monday we visited Whitecliff in Crestwood. Sorry Annie but so far Whitecliff received the lowest rating. No shade,and the equipment area is very small. However we all wished we could swim in their pool.

We then visited the former Crestwood Mall as we wanted to check on some new musical stage theaters opening in the old shopping mall. The kids found the air conditioning comfort and no other kids more to their liking.

I was employed by Sears in the spring of 1957 when Crestwood mall opened to the public. It was sad to witness its demize as a vibrant shopping mall.

WEST COUNTY FIRE WORKS JULY 4TH 2009!!!!!!!!!

I believe this was our ninth year in a row from the same spot in West County. This year was one of the best.!!! The pictures do no not do the exploding sky justice. Oh how I wish we had sound for digital photos.

Monday grandma and I had our four youngest for the day.The pictures show that it was a fun time had by all. Who cares about the damage to the grass.
