A DAY SPENT IN THE CITY of ST LOUIS!!!
Saturday morning Nancy and I started out with a great breakfast outdoors at the Benton Park grill on the corner of Arsenal and Lemp. Then on to Benton Park were I spent a lot of time roaming the park from age six to fourteen.
We then headed downtown to City Park that is only about three years old. We then moved west to the world famous Carl Mille fountains on the north side of Union Station.
We finished our city excursion by going to a farmers market in Tower Grove park.
Benton Park Lake
The lake pictured behind Nancy was a popular ice skating
spot in the winters of my growing up years. In fact I skated a few times on thin ice and ended up having a winter swim.!!!!!!! In addition at age fourteen i was trying to impress Jquanita by riding my bike on the ice
and again the bike and I in front of Jquanita went for a swim,!!!!!!!

The beautiful City Gardens a four or more blocks of park, gardens, water, and sculptors.

On to the beautiful Carl Mille fountains across from Union Station.

The fountains and statues represent the meeting of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.
