PERSONAL TOP SEVEN EVENTS OF 2007

Only the first photo has any numerical significance. All the rest are a part of my year. The first photo was taken five weeks after neck surgery. Obviously Nancy has made a great recovery as the photo was taken in San Antonio.

In my uniform as I started working for the Cardinals 2-13-07

Todd graduates from high school June 07

Photo four represents all six of the reasons WHY!!!! Nancy and I live in St Louis. I tried for two hours to do a collage of all six grandchildren. Blogspot would not read my software. [sorry]

A gift of a Stan Musial signed baseball from a friend.

Nancy and I spent four days in San Antonio

Two 07 visits from friend/brother Neil and his wife Glenda.

We did not travel a lot in 07 but stay tuned for 08.

Normally I set five to seven written goals that are measurable each and every year.

This year my goal is to do seventy things I have never done.

Happy New Year and blessings for 2008

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRI!!!!!!!!!!

Proof that we do have some pictures of you by your self.

"I Remember" a favorite poem of mine by Edgar Guest brings memories of your birthdays into focus.

I remember the year your cake was inscribed " Happiness is Sherri Lynn"
I remember a year in Independence when it snowed and I went and picked up all the kids for your party.

I could go on and on but lets remember I did not disclose your age.[ha ha]

Photo four was our last Christmas in St Louis. We had no idea that the next year we would becelebrating in Independence Mo.

The next year in Independence with your new puppy TINKER.

Jumping in to Lake Superior in Thunder Bay Canada. It was a hundred degrees in the sun but the water temperature was in the sixties. I could hardly stand being in the water but you had no problems and wanted to keep on jumping.

One of my all time favorite photos. In fact I entered this photo in a company contest and received an honorable mention. This photo was taken somewhere between Su St Marie Minn.and Thunder Bay Canada.
Mom and I are proud of the woman you have become.
Enjoy your special day.

Christmas Eve at Our House

The first photo is not great but what it does show is forty six years of a family celebrating Christmas Eve together. Five years ago we had a six inch snow fall but each family trudged through the snow to keep the tradition going. In 1966,67, and 68 the crowd was a little sparse as we lived in Independence Mo. and only my mother traveled to our home. When Terri was born in 1961 Nancy and I vowed we would be sure our kids had Christmas at their home. Now they are the parents but the tradition continues at our home.

Christmas's of THE PAST

I have tried for the photos from the first Christmas however in the case of Nancy and I there were no Christmas photos in 1957 our first as a couple are none in 1959 our first married Christmas. I guess we were not into Kodak moments in the fifties. You will have to settle for a fall 1957 photo from Fort Leonard Wood. We were visiting a friend with another couple. I hope you enjoy old photos as much as I.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! TO ALL!!!

THE BIRTH of JESUS

[by the fourth grade class]
Last Sunday at church we were visited by angels, shepherds, wise men, Mary, Joseph, inn keeper, and the baby Jesus.

Our grandson was one of the shepherds with a cane and green collar showing over his robe. It was a really good play and a Kodak moment for grandpa.

FRIENDS and TRADITIONS

When John comes to town WE go to Crown Candy simply because that is our tradition.

Recovery from a six inch snow fall is easier with a Crown Chocolate Shake and a Reuben sandwich.

John brought on the snow because he is once again a southern but we had the cure at Crown Candy. John is what great to be with you on Sunday.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!!!!!
WE had people taking the stadium tour today while the snow was falling.
The first photo is taken from near home plate at about noon on Saturday the 15Th.
The second photo is an unbelievable coincidence.
They are a young couple from Peoria Ill. and were the only two on this tour. About three minutes before this photo taken he proposed to her in the dugout and she said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had fourteen for the 1:00 PM tour. Majority were Packer fans in town for the Rams game.

Pretending I am Tony.

Pretending I am Albert!!!!!

The last photo is from the left field bleachers.
Today was my first proposal on a tour.
