ULTIMATE BEEP BALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!
Sunday found Nancy and I at GCS stadium in Sauget Il. with grandsons Donovan and Paul for the Ultimate Beep Ball championship. Beep ball is a game similar to soft ball but played by the sight challenged. All players except pitcher and catcher play blind folded. There is only two bases because when you touch a base before the defence captures the ball you score a run.!!!

This picture was taken by Cardinal mascot Fredbird.

#5 IS BEING PLAY BY PLAY ANNOUNCER
at GCS STADIUM {home of the Grizzlies}
Sunday afternoon found me accomplishing number five on my quest to one hundred by broadcasting the Ultimate Beep ball championship game between the LP Beepers and the Derminators. Beep ball is a game with some similarities to softball but for the sight challenged to participate in a team sport.
I know my readers from 2008 will say this appears to be like #26 on my quest to seventy hwever if you look at pictures and commentary from#26 in May of 2008 you will see lots of differences.
First and most important this was a professional radio booth were 2008 was simply portable equipment. Today I worked with a true radio personality Tom Calhoun of KMOX radio. Tom served as my radio color man. In 2008 it was a one man operation.

The head you seee sitting overlooking the field is my grandson Paul.
Grandson Donovan and photographer Nancy were also in my cheering section.

Standing next to me is my manager at the Cardinals Brian Finch.Brian sat in for awhile and was our guest announcer for the fourth inning.

Remember I am the rule maker and the score keeper.
