HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2009 !!!
Eleven years ago today Nancy and I spent Thanksgiving day in Paris France. We arrived around 6:00 PM Wednesday evening and after checking in at our hotel we walked to the Eiffel Tower and rode the elevator up.
On Thursday Thanksgiving day we took a bus tour around Paris and then walked the streets of Paris from Notre Dame Cathedral to near the Eiffel Tower about a five hour walk with a few stops.
Our dinner on Thanksgiving evening was really surreal as turkey and dressing could not be found on the menu. Would you believe we had a big steak for our Thanksgiving dinner.!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers.

MINDS EYE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been doing a sports radio show every Friday for twelve years at Minds Eye an organization that provides radio programming 24/7 to the sight challenged community. Recently I added a Talk Back hour to my schedule.I do the new show on the third Friday of each month.(you need a special receiver in order to listen to the show)

Friday the 20TH was special as my guest was good friend Eric Cope talking about his recent climb to the top of Mount Rainer near Seattle WA. In the course of an hour broadcast I was able to ask Eric about ten questions ranging from describing Mount Rainer to the sightless to his feelings when he reached the top.

Eric's answers were simply priceless. Eric described Rainer as a cupcake sitting on the top of a table. Eric's answer on reaching the top was "I was too tired to have any emotional feelings. The description of the actual climb was so vivid that I felt the pain.

Thanks Eric even thought we did not receive any callers you made Friday's program a great program.

YOUR ST LOUIS TAX $ at WORK!!!
A photo tour of Citygarden

Looking east from the entrance to citygarden

Nancy standing at the head of "Eros Bound" has the feel of an ancient relic that has been restored.

One of several waterfalls.

Ironically the Flamingo has always been a favorite of mine.

The Door of Return

In honor of my plus seventeen years with Bank of America. Actually I enjoyed the reflection of the ATT building.
It was a beautiful day and a nice park to stroll through. I simply wonder how many tax $ it cost and how much is the upkeep?
